Snes9x SNES emulator
Snes9x is a software emulator that allows anyone to play games originally designed for the Super NES console system from the 1990s. The emulator requires read-only memory, or ROM, files to run and cannot interpret the original cartridges. You can load ROM files directly from a zip file with this emulator. The basic menus and controls all work well. You have the option to save entire game states so that you do not have to wait for checkpoints or restart from the beginning of a game after dying. There are also two options in the game that can attempt to smooth out the graphics to make them more attractive on modern screens. Snes9x is a good emulator although it can freeze or crash at times.
